Live Release Rate: The Annual Live Release Rate is calculated by dividing the total live outcomes (adoptions, transfers to other rescues/sanctuary and returns to owner) by total outcomes (total live outcomes plus euthanasias for medical or behavior reasons). It does not include animals which passed away in care.

Definitions:

Intakes: The number of animals taken into the rescue. These reports are broken down by individual month (e.g., mothly intakes), and further identified by primary locations.

Outcomes: Identify the number of animals no longer in the rescue. Live outcomes are typically adoptions, but there are also other types of outcomes which include euthanasia for either medical or behavior issues as well as animals which passed away in our care (typically neonatal kittens)
